About the Kings

We are a family of five who loves the Lord.  For years we have talked about adoption as a sort of future possibility, a dream for our “someday”.  As we rounded the corner from 2014 to 2015, we began to feel God make that a real call, for our right now.

Read more about our decision to adopt here.

In November 2015, we brought Elliott Hope Yishuang King home from China.

In 2016, we said yes once again.  We are currently working towards bringing a son home from China.

Read more about our “yes” to our second adoption here.

We desire to look back at these words and remember the journey God walked us through.

“Called Me Higher”

I could just sit
I could just sit and wait for all Your goodness
Hope to feel Your presence
And I could just stay
I could just stay right where I am and hope to feel You
Hope to feel something again

And I could hold on
I could hold on to who I am and never let You
Change me from the inside
And I could be safe
I could be safe here in Your arms and never leave home
Never let these walls down

But You have called me higher
You have called me deeper
And I’ll go where You will lead me Lord
You have called me higher
You have called me deeper
And I’ll go where You lead me Lord
Where You lead me
Where You lead me Lord

And I could hold on
I could hold on to who I am and never let You
Change me from the inside
And I could be safe
I could be safe here in Your arms and never leave home
Never let these walls down

But You have called me higher
You have called me deeper
And I’ll go where You will lead me Lord
You have called me higher
You have called me deeper
And I’ll go where You lead me Lord
Where You lead me

And I will be Yours, oh
I will be Yours for all my life

And I will be Yours, oh
I will be Yours for all my life

And I will be Yours, oh
I will be Yours for all my life
So let Your mercy

And I will be Yours, oh
I will be Yours for all my life
So let Your mercy light the path before me

Cause You have called me higher
You have called me deeper
And I’ll go where You will lead me Lord

Just read your latest post and sending fervent, heartfelt prayers for your husband’s employment opportunities to open up, for his next position to be greater and completely suitable for his skills, desires and future aspirations.
Thank you for your wonderful writing, dear.

    All blessings and light,
